TeachIn is a professional network for educators. These rules keep it safe and useful — above all for the children educators teach. They apply to posts, comments, messages, profiles, pictures and school pages.

1. Children's images are never allowed
Do not post any image showing a child — not a pupil, not a class photo, not your own child.
Images are checked automatically, and any image showing a child's face is refused. Use a photo of yourself only.
2. No sexual content, and never involving children
No nudity, and no sexual, suggestive or explicit words or images. Sexual content involving
children is the most serious breach there is: an image of that kind locks the account immediately and is reported to the TeachIn
safety team, which acts as the law requires. If you need to raise a safeguarding concern, follow your school's safeguarding
procedure — do not post it.
3. No scams or spam
- Never ask anyone to pay a fee or deposit to apply for, or join, a job.
- No money-making schemes, link-stuffing, shortened links, or posting the same thing again and again.
4. No abuse or harassment
No abusive language, threats, hate or harassment — of anyone, for any reason.
5. No violence or disturbing images
No violent, gory or disturbing pictures.
6. Be who you are
Use your real name, and only create a page for an organisation you really work for.
7. How it is enforced
- Posts, comments, messages, profiles and school pages are checked as you publish them. If something breaks these rules, it is not published, and you are told why.
- Pictures are checked by Amazon Rekognition in its Mumbai region before anyone can see them. If the check cannot run, the picture is not published.
- Every blocked attempt is recorded. After five blocked attempts in 24 hours, the next one locks the account for 24 hours. An image that is sexual and shows a child locks the account at once.
- Everything else can be reported with the Report button. A person at TeachIn reads every report.
